Hola Familia!!
Sorry I didn’t write last week, there wasn’t
anything interesting that happened and I didn’t want the letter to be
boring haha. Things are going good in this little town. It’s really hard
actually for the missionary work here. The people
here are really Catholic. Several people this week that we were
teaching told us that they were born Catholic and will die Catholic. The
Catholics actually do their home teaching here and steal the Books of
Mormon that we give out...haha. The thing that keeps
this town running is a big Nestle factory. If you work there you’re
rich. In the afternoon the whole town smells like coffee, it actually
smells really good haha. One lady told us how do you expect me to stop
drinking coffee when this smell comes right into
my house. We didn’t have anyone at church again, that’s hurting us. My
companion situation is pretty crappy. He works at his pace (very slow)
and has to get his way with everything. If you want to do something that
he doesn’t like he´ll get really upset. We
live with the zone leaders and the other Latin that is with Elder Chase
from my group is worse than my companion. He’s the biggest D-bag I’ve
ever met haha. The zone is really hurting because there isn’t anyone to
set the example and everyone is super disobedient.
Transfers are next week, just keep praying for me haha. Even with all
the challenges I love what I am doing. This mission has been an amazing
experience. I have learned so much. I only have 6 weeks left to get
it all done and then I’m home!! Everyone’s
invited to the airport haha.
I love you guys sooo much!!

Hola Familia!!
Happy Easter!! Colombia´s Easter is a little
different. They call it Semana Santa(holy week) and only the Catholic
church takes part in it. They do parades with all the statues they
worship and have a lot of church services. I have a cool
story that really shows the importance of the atonement, so we went
around sharing it with everyone, it was pretty cool. Well, transfers are
on Wednesday and I’m getting sent back to Cali. Right now there are 4
missionaries in Bugalagrande (current area) but
now they are only keeping 2 and putting 4 in Andalucia, the other half
of the branch. I’m bummed I’m being transferred because we finally have
good investigators! We had 2 families at church yesterday that are
perfect. They are married, have kids, and are
really open to the gospel. My new area I’m going to is called San
Fernando, it’s the only branch in Cali. My new companion is Elder
Chavez, he’s from Mexico. I can’t beleive it’s my last transfer haha I
love you guys soo much!!

Hola Familia!!
How are you guys
doing!? My new area is cool and it’s really big. My new companion is
good too, he’s a funny guy. We don’t have any investigators really so we
are going to get to know all the members and start
from there. The office elders are in the same branch too but they only
work in the evenings. I feel more and more the desire to work fast and
work hard. It’s challenging getting to an area without anything, it
takes a while to get things going. The goal is
to baptize and get less actives back to church. Sorry there isn’t
anything interesting this week, maybe I’ll get robbed or something haha.
Love you guys!!
